When does n8n make more sense than Zapier?

When workflows branch a lot, run at high volume, or need custom API calls. For a few simple handoffs, Zapier is usually easier.

Do I have to host n8n myself?

No. n8n offers a hosted version. Self-hosting suits teams that want control of the server and have someone to keep it updated.

Who owns the workflows?

You should. We build in an instance you control and document what each workflow does and why.

Can n8n use AI?
