HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. Your numbers.

  1. 01

    Enter your numbers

Enter how many crews you run and how many jobs one crew finishes a month.

  2. 02

    Watch it recalculate

Add the jobs already booked for next month.

  3. 03

    Use the answer

    Add your average job value.

How the math works

Monthly capacity

Crews × jobs per crew per month. Use a realistic pace, with weather and callbacks in it.

Open slots

Capacity − jobs already booked. If you’re overbooked, it shows zero, not a negative number.

Revenue in open capacity and utilization

Open slots × average job value. Utilization is booked ÷ capacity, capped at 100%.

Example (not a benchmark)

2 crews × 4 jobs a month = 8 slots. 5 already booked leaves 3 open, or $27,000 at $9,000 a job. Utilization is 62.5%.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Questions we hear.

Will marketing fill those open slots?

Not automatically. This is arithmetic on your inputs. It shows the gap, not a promise that it gets filled.

How far ahead should I look?

Use next month for most trades. If your jobs sign weeks or months before they start, run it for the month your crews will actually be free.

What if I’m already over 100%?

Then the next move isn’t more leads. It’s raising prices, being pickier about job type, or hiring. Turn ad spend down before you burn out the crew.

How many leads do the open slots take?

Enter the open slots as signed jobs wanted in the ad budget calculator. It works back to the estimates and leads needed.
