META ADS FOR POOL BUILDERS

Facebook ads that sell next summer’s pool now.

Nobody searches for a pool builder in December, but plenty of homeowners scroll past a backyard and start imagining. Ads built on your finished pools reach them before they’ve picked anyone.

WHERE IT BREAKS

Facebook & Instagram ads for pool builders: what goes wrong.

01

Pretty pools, no price signal

A drone shot of a pool earns likes from people with no budget. Without a price cue, most of the clicks are daydreaming.

02

Summer-only spending

Turning ads on when it gets hot means paying for attention from buyers you can’t schedule until next year.

03

Judging ads in a week

A pool click might sign three months later. Cut an ad after seven days without a contract and you may kill the one that works.

WHAT WE RUN

Built for pool builders. Run by us.

Creative built for the season

Plan-ahead ads in fall and winter, build-progress ads in spring, and remodel ads in summer.

Price cues in the ad

Ads say builds start at a range you set, so the clicks come from people with a budget near yours.

New builds and remodels apart

New pool buyers and owners of tired pools see different ads and land on different pages.

Patience in the reporting

Results are read against consultations and contracts over the full sales cycle, not last week’s clicks.

AN EXAMPLE WE WROTE

Example 30-second Instagram ad script: plan now, swim by summer (written by BlueSmith, not a client ad)

  1. 010–3s: Drone over a finished backyard pool at dusk. Text: “Swimming by June starts with a plan in winter.”
  2. 023–10s: Your designer at a table with a backyard sketch: “The families swimming first booked their design before the rush.”
  3. 0310–20s: Quick cuts from dig to steel to plaster to fill, filmed on one of your builds.
  4. 0420–26s: “Custom pools from [your starting range]. See what yours might cost in two minutes.”
  5. 0526–30s: Button: Price my pool. It lands on the estimator.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Questions we hear.

Is it smart to put a starting price in the ad?

Usually, yes, as a starting range you set. It turns away homeowners shopping for an above-ground pool before they click, and the ones who do click aren’t shocked at the consultation.

How long before Facebook ads produce a signed pool?

It varies with the season and your schedule. Consultations can start within weeks of launch. Contracts follow the homeowner’s timeline, which is often months, so we track the whole path and the early ads get credit.

Can you target only homes with big enough yards?

Not directly. Meta doesn’t sort people by lot size. Yard size and equipment access are questions on the page, answered before anyone books.

What footage does a pool campaign need?

One or two finished backyards, with the owners’ permission, and an active build at any stage. We handle the scripts and editing. Around Fresno County we film in person; elsewhere shoots are scheduled and travel is quoted.

Your crew is ready for the next job. Is your calendar?
